Birdy's Spare Room

So I'm excited... I've decided that I'm going to create an Etsy store and start selling stuff I make. 

I figure I need to stock up on some creations first and then launch the store. So tonight I made a few little things to get me started.

My comic book garland, I've actually wanted to make one of these for a while but never found a reason. This one will be up for sale in the store I will link once it's up.

I love these clips, I'm definatly going to make these for my niece.

Peanut toy

I found this tutorial on http://imaginegnats.blogspot.com.au/2013/10/sewing-peanut-baby-free-pattern.html. I though it was super cute and decided to make for my niece for her birthday. It's only her first birthday so I wanted to use colours and patterns for her. 

I ran out of stuffing and could only complete 4 out of the 5 but I'm pretty happy with them.

October weekends

A quiet long weekend ending with finishing off a project and mending some work pants. A good way to finish a weekend that I don't really want to end. 

Spent some time with my family including my nieces. I am not the best family person, I can honestly say that I do not take enough time for them. 

It's pretty amazing how much a child can light up your life, these two little girls can always make me smile no matter what my mood. 

And a date a Sushi Train. One of my favourite meals. My mans idea for a late lunch/ early dinner.  It is our date, the same date we always seem to have. The first date we had was sushi train and many since. Many serious conversations have happened over sushi train. I think it might be a critical part of my relationship. 

So I had some sample packets of cleansing facial wipes sent to me to test. They are awesome! I have fairly sensitive skin and I've used them a few times with no reactions. So I'm happy with them. 

I love them, I'm keeping a pack in my bag and one next to my bed to clean my face before sleep.

The below is the remnants of my make up and a clean face a the end of the night :)

p.s. how great are my fake eye lashes, they are new and I think going to be my regular beauty routine.  

Felt Fire truck

I am planning on making all the kids toys for Christmas and birthdays for the rest of this year.  And here's the first one! 

This is Xanders fire truck cushion. 

For inspiration I just looked up pictures of fire trucks and the free handed the pattern to cut the felt.  

The letters are tricky... probably 

because I didn't use very good pattern just hand drawn.

Maybe it's just Friday and my brain isn't working at its best but that's all I've got today. I don't know how I feel about rules, I guess it depends. But I do know I don't like being told what to do. But then again I can be all about follow what I should do sometimes... Argh I don't even know. Guess I don't know myself very well. 

All I know is its Friday and my man is home waiting for a date .... To the footy. 

Worry

What a topic, it should be what don't I worry about. I am a massive stress head :-( something I am working on and have been for awhile. 

Some things I worry about are just silly, like breaking my phone. .. I have such a habit of it and I just got a new one so its on my mind a lot. 

So I've been talking with my man and I think I have a project/challenge that I am going to be doing next year. I'm excited!
